Notify.gov, a federal system created to send mass texts to the public, is at an immediate endangerment of closure, according to the proposed publicly available changes on its website.
This government tool, which was created in 2023 by the Division of General Service Administration Transformation Services, is used by governments at all levels to send important warnings and memories to citizens about the Federal Public Benefits, for example, to inform them that their Medicaid coverage is expired.
Since Thursday, a line in the source code that read: “Notification service has been displayed. Gov is no longer available.
